Enjoy your 80-series without dreading every scrape
A rocky trail is a great place to enjoy your 80-series. PDT08A8EVO puts an 8 mm HeavyDuty duralumin guard beneath the front differential, steering bars and radiators, giving those expensive components a substantial barrier against contact from below. This is the HDJ80 EVO plate, made for the application below.
SKU: PDT08A8EVO
Why we choose duralumin
Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin gives you a high-strength plate with less weight than steel of the same size and thickness. You get substantial protection for rough trails without carrying an unnecessarily heavy guard on every road mile getting there. It is a material choice worth paying for on a vehicle you want to keep enjoying.
The duralumin plate won't rust where rocks mark its surface. Its natural oxide layer also helps resist corrosion. You can enjoy using the vehicle on wet, muddy trails without treating every scrape as the start of a rust problem on the guard itself.
8 mm HeavyDuty protection
At 8 mm thick, this HeavyDuty plate is our choice for heavier vehicles and demanding long-distance trips over rough ground. It puts a substantial barrier beneath the components listed below.
Off-road protection since 1992
Almont has been making underbody protection since 1992, with input from vehicle preparers involved in the Dakar Rally and other rally-raid competition. You're buying from a specialist with that experience behind it, along with certified material and a plate shaped for your vehicle. That's a good reason to choose it for a vehicle you love using off road.
Fitting and mounting
The plate bolts into your vehicle's original holes and threads using the supplied steel supports and fixings, with no need to drill new mounting holes. The certificate/instruction manual is included to guide the installation. Raised suspension is compatible when the original mounting points remain in place.
The plate needs the original chassis, frame, axle and suspension-stay anchors, transmission mounts and stabiliser-bar supports. Body lifts and diff-drop kits change that relationship and are incompatible.
