A camper conversion takes time and money, and you want to enjoy it once the road gets rough. This Almont guard protects the gearbox and transfer case on your W907 VS30 4Matic from October 2022. Choose 6 mm or 8 mm duralumin and fit it with the required matching front guard.
This is the 4Matic version, rather than the earlier W907 4x4 guard. SportDuty is 6 mm at 10 kg and HeavyDuty is 8 mm at 12 kg. We would favour HeavyDuty for a substantially equipped camper and demanding rough-ground travel, while SportDuty is the lighter choice for less demanding use.
PDMBS3B26 is 6 mm SportDuty at 10 kg. PDMBS3B28 is 8 mm HeavyDuty at 12 kg. Match the October 2022-onwards 4Matic application as well as the thickness.
The material is a large part of what makes Almont protection worth considering. Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin combines high strength with less material weight than steel of the same size and thickness. A scrape will not start red rust in the alloy plate, helping it stay a worthwhile long-term addition to your vehicle. Mud and road salt should still be washed off, including from the separate steel brackets and fixings.

The matching VS30 4Matic front guard is required because the mountings link. It is sold separately. Earlier W907 4x4 vans use a different gearbox/transfer guard.

Pressure wash the protection at least once a year, or two or three times a year if you regularly drive in mud or road salt. Check bolt tightness annually and follow the fitting instructions when refitting a plate after maintenance.
No. This version is for the VS30 4Matic application from October 2022. The earlier 4x4 drivetrain uses a separate guard.

The duralumin plate will not form red rust when scratched. Wash off mud and road salt to help prevent other corrosion and to look after the separate steel brackets and fixings.
Almont provides three years of cover against cracking of the plate. Dents, deformation and damage to the vehicle are excluded.
