Your 4x4 Sprinter can take you a long way from the main road, and the drivetrain underneath deserves looking after. This Almont guard protects the gearbox and transfer case in 6 mm or 8 mm duralumin on W906 and early W907 applications. It mounts with the required matching front guard.
For a W906 4x4, this guard covers the 2006-2018 application. On a W907 4x4, choose it for a van built from July 2019 to June 2021. SportDuty is 6 mm at 10 kg; HeavyDuty is 8 mm at 12 kg, our preference for a substantially equipped camper and demanding rough-ground trips.
PDMBS23B6 is 6 mm SportDuty at 10 kg. PDMBS23B8 is 8 mm HeavyDuty at 12 kg. Both fit the vehicle applications and build dates shown here.
Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin gives you substantial, high-strength alloy protection without the material weight of steel of the same size and thickness. The plate will not develop red rust if its surface is scratched, so it is a good choice for a vehicle you intend to keep and use. Wash off mud and road salt to look after the alloy and the separate steel mounting hardware.

For a W906 4x4, add the required W906 front guard. A W907 needs the front guard for its own build and application. The separate fuel tank guard protects the original tank on its stated 4x4 / 4Matic applications.
Pressure wash the protection at least once a year, or two or three times a year if you regularly drive in mud or road salt. Check bolt tightness annually and follow the fitting instructions when refitting a plate after maintenance.

No. The later VS30 4Matic uses a separate gearbox and transfer guard.
The protection plate, matching steel mounting supports, pre-installed fixings, certificate and instruction manual, and Almont sticker. Other guards linked on this page are separate purchases.
The duralumin plate will not form red rust when scratched. Wash off mud and road salt to help prevent other corrosion and to look after the separate steel brackets and fixings.
Almont provides three years of cover against cracking of the plate. Dents, deformation and damage to the vehicle are excluded.
