A full tank is something you want to enjoy using, rather than worry about catching on a rock. This Almont fuel tank guard adds 6 mm duralumin protection beneath your Pajero, with separate short-body and long-body versions to suit the vehicle.
The short-body PDM860DC6 plate weighs 12 kg; the long-body PDM860DL6 weighs 14 kg. Choose by body length, so the guard follows the correct tank and mounting arrangement. This plate works with the required central and rear differential guards to protect the tank behind the transmission.
Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin gives you substantial, high-strength alloy protection without the material weight of steel of the same size and thickness. The plate will not develop red rust if its surface is scratched, so it is a good choice for a vehicle you intend to keep and use. Wash off mud and road salt to look after the alloy and the separate steel mounting hardware.

Pressure wash the protection at least once a year, or two or three times a year if you regularly drive in mud or road salt. Check bolt tightness annually and follow the fitting instructions when refitting a plate after maintenance.

The duralumin plate will not form red rust when scratched. Wash off mud and road salt to help prevent other corrosion and to look after the separate steel brackets and fixings.
