The certified AW5083 H111 guard puts high-strength alloy beneath several exposed components. It is a worthwhile addition to a Land Cruiser you intend to preserve and keep using, with a plate that will not develop red rust when scratched.
This is certified AW5083 H111 duralumin: a high-strength aluminium alloy that keeps material weight below steel of the same size and thickness. You get a substantial barrier beneath the vehicle, and a scratch in the plate does not turn into red rust. It is still worth keeping the alloy and the separate steel mounting hardware clean, especially after winter salt or muddy trips.

The separate 1999-2024 70 Series front guard is for its later HZJ/VDJ/GRJ application. For an HZJ76/78/79 from 1990-1998, the transmission guard adds protection farther back.
Pressure wash the protection at least once a year, or two or three times a year if you regularly drive in mud or road salt. Check bolt tightness annually and follow the fitting instructions when refitting a plate after maintenance.
This version is for the original bumper.
The stated BJ 70, 71, 73, 74 and 75 application from 1984 to 1992 is included alongside the HZJ application.
The protection plate, matching steel mounting supports, pre-installed fixings, certificate and instruction manual, and Almont sticker. Other guards linked on this page are separate purchases.
The duralumin plate will not form red rust when scratched. Wash off mud and road salt to help prevent other corrosion and to look after the separate steel brackets and fixings.
Almont provides three years of cover against cracking of the plate. Dents, deformation and damage to the vehicle are excluded.
