This 8 mm Almont guard covers the ZF 8HP automatic gearbox and Tramec transfer case on the Grenadier and Quartermaster, putting certified duralumin between rough ground and two important parts of the drivetrain.

The transmission deserves attention when you are preparing the truck for rocky lanes or a longer trip carrying camping equipment. This 8 mm HeavyDuty guard protects the gearbox and transfer case together and weighs 14.5 kg. It is also the mounting partner for the separate engine sump guard.
Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin gives you substantial, high-strength alloy protection without the material weight of steel of the same size and thickness. The plate will not develop red rust if its surface is scratched, so it is a good choice for a vehicle you intend to keep and use. Wash off mud and road salt to look after the alloy and the separate steel mounting hardware.

Pressure wash the protection at least once a year, or two or three times a year if you regularly drive in mud or road salt. Check bolt tightness annually and follow the fitting instructions when refitting a plate after maintenance.

The duralumin plate will not form red rust when scratched. Wash off mud and road salt to help prevent other corrosion and to look after the separate steel brackets and fixings.
Almont provides three years of cover against cracking of the plate. Dents, deformation and damage to the vehicle are excluded.
