A Transit Trail can take your camper or working van onto some very worthwhile rough roads. This Almont guard protects its original 95-litre fuel tank with 6 mm certified duralumin, giving you more reassurance about the equipment beneath the van. It is made for the 4x4 / AWD tank installation.

This 16 kg SportDuty plate is shaped for the AWD / 4x4 installation with the original 95-litre tank. It gives the tank a substantial barrier when your van crosses ruts or rough access roads. Choose by drivetrain as well as capacity when matching the guard to your Transit.
The material is a large part of what makes Almont protection worth considering. Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin combines high strength with less material weight than steel of the same size and thickness. A scrape will not start red rust in the alloy plate, helping it stay a worthwhile long-term addition to your vehicle. Mud and road salt should still be washed off, including from the separate steel brackets and fixings.

Pressure wash the protection at least once a year, or two or three times a year if you regularly drive in mud or road salt. Check bolt tightness annually and follow the fitting instructions when refitting a plate after maintenance.

The duralumin plate will not form red rust when scratched. Wash off mud and road salt to help prevent other corrosion and to look after the separate steel brackets and fixings.
Almont provides three years of cover against cracking of the plate. Dents, deformation and damage to the vehicle are excluded.
