An FJ Cruiser or 4Runner is a vehicle you want to use on rough ground. This Almont guard protects the gearbox and centre transfer/differential area in 8 mm certified duralumin, giving you more reassurance beneath the driveline. It fits the stated FJ Cruiser and 4Runner applications with the required matching front guard.

This 8 mm plate weighs 12.5 kg and gives the transmission a substantial barrier for rocky and uneven ground. It fits the FJ Cruiser, 4Runner N210 and 4Runner N280 4.0 V6 applications shown here, with the matching front guard required for its linked mounting.
The material is a large part of what makes Almont protection worth considering. Certified AW5083 H111 duralumin combines high strength with less material weight than steel of the same size and thickness. A scrape will not start red rust in the alloy plate, helping it stay a worthwhile long-term addition to your vehicle. Mud and road salt should still be washed off, including from the separate steel brackets and fixings.

For a five-door 4Runner N210 or N280 4.0 V6, add the separate fuel tank guard. For an FJ Cruiser, the front guard is the required companion, with a choice to suit your bumper. We also sell a separate 6 mm FJ Cruiser transmission guard for lighter use.
Pressure wash the protection at least once a year, or two or three times a year if you regularly drive in mud or road salt. Check bolt tightness annually and follow the fitting instructions when refitting a plate after maintenance.

The duralumin plate will not form red rust when scratched. Wash off mud and road salt to help prevent other corrosion and to look after the separate steel brackets and fixings.
Almont provides three years of cover against cracking of the plate. Dents, deformation and damage to the vehicle are excluded.
