The 14.5 kg guard uses certified AW5083 H111 duralumin. It provides a high-strength barrier underneath while keeping material weight below steel of the same size and thickness, a useful consideration on a vehicle already carrying travel or work equipment.
This is certified AW5083 H111 duralumin: a high-strength aluminium alloy that keeps material weight below steel of the same size and thickness. You get a substantial barrier beneath the vehicle, and a scratch in the plate does not turn into red rust. It is still worth keeping the alloy and the separate steel mounting hardware clean, especially after winter salt or muddy trips.

The separate 55.18 transmission guard extends protection farther back and requires this matching front guard. The AdBlue tank guard covers the AdBlue tank on its stated application.
Pressure wash the protection at least once a year, or two or three times a year if you regularly drive in mud or road salt. Check bolt tightness annually and follow the fitting instructions when refitting a plate after maintenance.

No. The 55.17 has its own front guard.

The duralumin plate will not form red rust when scratched. Wash off mud and road salt to help prevent other corrosion and to look after the separate steel brackets and fixings.
Almont provides three years of cover against cracking of the plate. Dents, deformation and damage to the vehicle are excluded.
