Volvo's B4, B5 and B6 mild-hybrid petrol engines are shared right across the range - and so is their restrictive standard air box. This MST Performance cold air intake system replaces it with precision-engineered aluminium pipework designed to speed airflow into the turbo with minimal turbulence. One part number covers 2020-on S60, S90, V60, XC60 and XC90 mild hybrids, giving the whole family a cleaner intake route and a more engaging note under load. All fittings for a direct OEM-replacement install are supplied.
Because Volvo standardised the engine family, MST could standardise the fix: a single intake design serving saloons, estates and SUVs. The design brief is the same as every MST kit - accelerate the air, cut turbulence, remove restriction, use top-quality components. On a B5 XC60 hauling a full load or a B4 S60 on a slip road, the freer route is doing its work exactly when the engine leans on its turbo hardest.
This kit serves the mild-hybrid B4, B5 and B6 petrol engines from 2020 on across the models in the table below. Earlier T-badge petrol cars (T4/T5/T6) use the separate MST T-series intake. Check your engine designation - B badge, not T - and confirm the part number before ordering.

No - the earlier T-series petrol engines use a different MST kit. This part is specific to the B-badge mild hybrids from 2020 on.
The kit is designed for the mild-hybrid engine bay as listed, and installs as a direct replacement for the standard air box using the supplied fittings.
