Choose how you want your Mustang to sound
You should enjoy your exhaust on the journeys you actually make, as well as when you open the throttle. This Kooks connection-back system gives your 2018-2026 Mustang GT a choice of Shotgun or Touring mufflers, active valves and polished stainless or carbon-fibre tips. It completes a matching Kooks long tube header and front-connection setup with 3" stainless pipework and an ULTRA X-pipe.

Shotgun or Touring
Choose Shotgun if a louder, more open exhaust character is what excites you. Touring is aimed at a more refined experience, with reduced unwanted cabin drone as a design priority. Neither choice promises a particular sound level or a drone-free cabin: your headers, catalysts and how you use the car still affect what you hear.
Active valves using the factory actuators
The installation reuses the factory active-exhaust actuator motors and springs on the Kooks valved mufflers. That makes your car's existing active-exhaust equipment part of the fitting requirements. The package is not supplied as a separate app-controlled or remote-controlled valve conversion.
A full 3" system with the finish you prefer
Mandrel-bent 304 stainless pipework and a long-merge ULTRA X-pipe run into 3" valved mufflers. Four 4" slash-cut tips finish the rear: choose polished stainless for a bright metal finish or carbon fibre for a darker look. Tip finish changes the appearance, not the Shotgun or Touring muffler specification.
Complete the Kooks header setup
This is a connection-back system. It requires Kooks long tube headers and front connection pipes, purchased separately. We recommend professional fitting so the valve equipment, hangers, tip alignment and heat clearance are checked together, then rechecked after the first heat cycle.

Touring is the choice to consider if cabin refinement matters most; Shotgun suits a preference for a louder, more open character. Your catalyst and header combination will influence both.
Will it connect straight to the factory front exhaust?
This connection-back version needs Kooks long tube headers and front connection pipes. Choose an OEM-front-connection cat-back if you want to retain the factory front arrangement.
Are new valve actuator motors supplied?
The fitting guide uses your factory active-exhaust motors and springs. Have those available for installation.
Does carbon fibre change the sound?
The tip option changes the finish. Choose the muffler style for the sound character.
