These Kooks 1-7/8" headers are made for the specified Coyote-swap arrangement in a 1979-2004 Mustang, with 10R80, 6R80 or MT82 transmission compatibility. Choose them as part of the complete engine, mounts and chassis conversion rather than by gearbox name alone.

The required conversion hardware
Use an OEM-style bellhousing, MMKM-2.1 K-member and standard 4.6-litre mounts such as 6-504-BL. The starter must be the 1997-2000 Mustang 4.6 style, SA848RM or equivalent.
Make room for the exhaust
OEM transmission-crossmember mounts must be removed and a Stifflers crossmember is recommended. This SKU excludes 2015+ Coyote engines with charge-motion-control valves, Ridetech SLA airbag suspension and the OEM rubber rag-joint steering shaft. Gaskets and header bolts are included.
