A canopy turns your pickup bed into a far more useful space for work and weekends away. The ARB 4140135 J-Brace Kit provides supplementary tub reinforcement for the matched Ranger Mk8 and Amarok Mk3 Double Cab canopy installation, helping you fit the supporting hardware as part of the job.

The kit supplies left and right J-braces with the matching packers, nut plates and installation fasteners. They support the intended canopy installation through the specified mounting positions in the tub.
This application is for the Ford Ranger Mk8 and Volkswagen Amarok Mk3 Double Cab 2023+ vehicles covered by the pre-October 2024 tub-brace requirement. Later vehicles or tubs with the required reinforcement already installed need their existing hardware checked before an additional kit is chosen.
The fitting process involves access behind the wheel-arch trim, drilling and riveted or bolted connections at the specified positions. Fitting it alongside the canopy avoids treating the reinforcement as an afterthought. Follow the vehicle and canopy instructions together; the brace does not increase the vehicle payload or canopy load rating.

The canopy installation needs the specified support in the tub. This supplementary brace kit supplies the matching reinforcement components so they can be fitted with the canopy.
The Ranger Raptor uses the separate 4140138 J-Brace Kit. This 4140135 application is for the matched Ranger Mk8 and Amarok Mk3 installation.
The pre-October 2024 build requirement and any reinforcement already fitted determine whether this kit is needed. Check the existing tub hardware as part of the installation.
Use the original vehicle payload and the load limit of the complete canopy or rack installation. The brace supplies required reinforcement rather than an additional payload allowance.
