A loaded vehicle can leave you with very little view through the rear window. This ARB camera system gives you a live rear-camera view on a 9.66-inch mirror display, alongside front and rear recording. It is a useful upgrade for everyday manoeuvring as well as trips with camping equipment filling the back.

The wide touchscreen makes the rear-camera image easier to see than a small separate monitor. Its 1280 x 320 MIPI IPS display sits in the mirror position, keeping the view in a familiar place. Adjust the cameras to suit your vehicle: the front camera covers a 140-degree field of view and the rear camera 120 degrees.
Night-mode sensitivity can be adjusted to suit the conditions. Cameras are an extra view to help you manoeuvre; use them alongside your mirrors and checks around the vehicle.
Both cameras record at 1080p, so you can capture what happens ahead of and behind your vehicle. The built-in G-sensor automatically saves footage when triggered. H.264 video is stored in MOV format on a compatible SD card of up to 64GB.
Parking mode records a 30-second clip when movement is detected, subject to a suitable powered installation. Wi-Fi connects to the RoadCam app on iOS or Android so you can manage footage without removing the card each time.
The system works from a 10-16V supply. Camera position, cable routing and parking-mode power all need to suit your vehicle, particularly on pickups or vehicles with rear accessories. A tidy installation should keep the lens clear, protect exposed wiring and leave the touchscreen accessible. The app connection has a 0-10m Wi-Fi range.
