The rear dampers on a Land Cruiser 200 hang low and outboard behind the axle, in the direct line of stone spray off the rear tyres and the ledge that clips the truck on departure. Shock bodies are thin-walled by design - one good dent costs the damper its stroke and you a pair of shocks. This Almont kit shields both rear dampers on the Toyota Land Cruiser VDJ200 with 8 mm HeavyDuty certified EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin, 5 kg for the pair, so the hits that used to reach the dampers stop at sacrificial alloy. It is the finishing touch to a rear end already covered by the gearbox and transfer plate and fuel tank plate.

The axle housing shrugs off strikes that will dent a damper body. The dampers are the most fragile hardware behind the rear axle, which is why Almont cuts them their own plates.
Almont supports non-original raised suspension, but not modified suspension links. If your 200 runs an aftermarket shock package, check the combination with us first.
