The ARB Esperance 2.0 brings your sleeping space, mattress and ladder together in a compact rooftop package. Fold it out, settle into the foam mattress and enjoy a view through the moonroof. It is a practical way to make spontaneous nights away feel more comfortable, with useful lighting and storage already built into the tent.
SKU: XCTR802200V2
The egg-crate foam mattress has a soft quilted cover that can be removed for washing. Internal pockets give phones, keys and other small essentials somewhere to live, while shoe and cargo pockets help keep the sleeping area clearer. The ladder stores inside the closed tent and uses angled steps for more comfortable climbing.
The moonroof has a corresponding clear panel in the rain fly, so fitting weather protection does not mean losing the view above you. Zip-on transparent windows let you close openings against the weather, and can be removed when airflow matters more. High-level ventilation windows help release humid air rather than trapping it inside.
Integrated 12 V electrics put the controls within reach inside the shell. Interior lighting is useful for getting ready for bed; the exterior LEDs illuminate the entrance and the space around the optional annex. A suitable external power supply is required.
The ABS hardshell closes to 1520 x 1200 x 330 mm and the tent weighs 58 kg dry. Include the mounting system and any stored equipment when checking the vehicle roof allowance. ARB rates the open tent for a maximum 300 kg load, but the roof and rack can impose a lower limit. The operating guide specifies a maximum driving speed of 110 km/h.
The tent includes the mattress, telescopic ladder, rain fly, transparent window panels, storage pockets, mounting kit and hardware, plus guy ropes and pegs. The Esperance 2.0 annex room is a separate option for sheltered changing or extra covered space below.
Use level ground and set the ladder correctly so it supports the folding base as instructed. Close and secure the shell before travelling. If you pack it away wet, open it again as soon as practical and let the tent and mattress dry fully before storage; the ventilation features help manage moisture but cannot eliminate condensation.
