ARB REDARC S/Start DC to DC Battery Charger 12V 50A with Dual Input MPPT Solar controls or connects part of the vehicle's auxiliary electrical system for charging and accessory power. A planned power-management component is safer and easier to service than adding unfused accessory wiring directly to the battery. The range of REDARC In-vehicle Battery Chargers use multiple stage charging processes for 12 or 24 volt vehicles that operates from any input between 9 and 32 volts DC.
Start with the maximum current, cable length and battery chemistry. Locate protection close to the supply, keep high-current cables away from heat and moving parts, and leave access to fuses and connectors. Charging components must also suit smart-alternator behaviour where relevant.
Confirm voltage, current rating, connector type and compatibility with the battery and charging system. Check whether cable, fuses, isolators, displays or mounting hardware are included. Use competent installation for high-current circuits.
