The automatic Pajero is the long-distance version, and its gearbox and transfer case hang in the centre of the chassis where every rock crown and rut ridge reaches. This Almont skid plate covers the automatic driveline on Pajero V60, V80 and V90 models in certified EN AW-5083 H111 duralumin, offered in 6mm SportDuty or 8mm HeavyDuty, with the 8mm plate weighing 16.5 kg. An automatic transmission pan is soft alloy sitting low; this plate makes sure the track never touches it, and it bolts to the original chassis points with steel brackets and pre-installed bolts.
